Teens GET ACTIVE outdoors with Walltown

Our final teen program of the summer cycle was Walltown’s inaugural teen camping trip August 18 – 20 to Todd, NC (outside of Boone). Registration maxed out for the two night trip to a campground on the edge of the New River. Participants and staff enjoyed camping, roasting s’mores, canoeing, tubing, disc golf, and the peaceful serenity of nature. We learned about cooking outdoors, pitching a tent, building a fire, and paddling. Don’t let your teen miss out on our next camping trip in the spring of 2016!

In the meantime join us Friday, September 11 for “Teen Night Out.” We will travel to Bethesda Park in Durham for a cookout and adventure on the DPR high ropes course. Registration is open and FREE for teenagers ages 13-18! Contact Walltown Park Recreation Center for more information!
